STUDIO FIELD TRIP
The studio experience gives students a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to bring a recording to life.
Students can watch an engineer set up microphones, capture and evaluate sound, and build a recording one layer at a time. They’ll experience overdubbing—the process of adding instruments and vocals individually to create a fully produced piece of music—and discover the tools and techniques engineers use to shape a performance into a polished recording.
We welcome groups of up to 15 students for a day in the studio. We work closely with teachers to design an experience that puts students in the driver’s seat, adapting the session to their level of musical experience, technical knowledge, and proficiency.
The goal is simple: students don’t just learn about recording—they experience how music gets made.
